The company undertakes various activities involving communities around the refinery and beyond as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility agenda. Some of the activities are detailed below.
CHRISTMAS COMES EARLY AT APDK

Mr. Anthony Magor, Manager Internal Audit presents Christmas donations to Ms. Mercy Hemed, APDK Project coordinator and Mr. Duncan Opiyo, APDK Project Administrator. Christmas came early at APDK as KPRL Peer Educators took time away from work to celebrate with the orphaned children at the centre. Both staff and children were filled with immense joy as they sang away Christmas carols to entertain their KPRL Guests. Mr. Magor, KPRL’s Manager Internal Audit assured the APDK staff that KPRL was always happy to better the life of its surrounding community, more so if it included helping children with disabilities. Mr. Duncan Opiyo of APDK explained how the community had ostracized disabled children labeling them cursed and the community’s black sheep. Mr. Richard Tairo, KPRL’s IT Manager, who is also a regular visitor at the centre talked of the many incidents he had witnessed of parents locking up their disabled children because of poverty and lack of capacity to care.Recently Posted CSR Activities
