Tree Planting and Forest Restoration at KPRL

As His Excellency, the President, Dr. William Ruto today (21st December, 2022) led the Nation in a tree restoration drive in the Ngong Hills aiming to restore over 10 million hectares of degraded land countrywide, KPRL played its part fully by facilitating the planting of more than 200 trees by employees and contractors at its Changamwe site. The exercise was spearheaded by the Ag CEO, Mr. Joseph Ndoti.

Tree planting and forest restoration is one of the President’s key projects coming out of the recently concluded 27th Conference of the Parties or COP 27 in Egypt.

The coastal region comprising Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu, Tana River, and Mombasa counties will plant 56,000 trees each as their contribution to the National endeavour.
